Jack Grealish embarks on Home Alone 2 tour around New York, visiting iconic scenes from the movie

Crossing the busy intersection here, at 59th Street, is where Marv and Harry first bump into Kevin. At the Miami airport, security tells Kevin's parents it's unlikely he'll be anywhere but still stuck in Chicago. The camera pans to the South Street Seaport's erstwhile Fulton Fish Market . A backpack-toting Kevin crosses the street; meanwhile a white truck makes a turn, honks at him, and rolls up the back to reveal Harry and Marv. They're recently out of prison and stowing away with a shipment of seafood on ice. Kevin marches up the steps to the old World Trade Center complex, nine years before it would be no more.

This is also an Elf filming location in NYC too, another holiday cult classic! The next Home Alone 2 NYC filming location features Kevin visiting the former World Trade Center. He explores the complex and takes photos as if he were a grown adult—and not a child alone in the big city. Finally, Grealish had to stop at the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, where Kevin was reunited with his mother after a second straight year attempting to navigate the holiday season all alone. The production staff created another fake old-timey movie for the sequel.

However, Kevin fends him off by a clown balloon in the shower as Kevin plays a recording he managed to capture of Frank in the shower, causing Hector to flee. Meanwhile, in Miami, the McCallister family reaches the run-down Villa De Dolphine, which Frank comments did not look as bad on his and Leslie's honeymoon. Kevin looks through his father's address book and finds that his uncle Rob lives there and decides to potentially stop by his home as Kevin thinks that he usually brings out nice gifts. Kevin looks out his hotel window and says goodnight to his mother as she does the same in Florida. On his way to the Plaza Hotel, Kevin encounters a "Pigeon Lady" in Central Park and runs from her.

Meanwhile, Kevin goes to his uncle's townhouse, only to find it vacant and undergoing renovations. In Central Park, Kevin encounters and eventually befriends the pigeon lady, who takes him to Carnegie Hall. She explains how her life collapsed when her lover left her; Kevin encourages her to trust people again.

On the other plane, Peter reassures Kate that they have nothing to worry about during this trip, unaware that Kevin is on another plane. One year after Kevin was mistakenly left at home during the McCallister family's Christmas vacation in Paris, the family gathers at Peter and Kate's home to prepare for their vacation this time to Miami, Florida. Kevin feels resentful of this trip, as Florida lacks Christmas trees and Kate suggests finding a nice fake silver tree or decorate a palm tree.

Kevin arrives at Duncan's Toy Chest as Marv and Harry perform reconnaissance there. Duncan, who tells him the proceeds from the store's Christmas sales will go to a local children's hospital. After Kevin donates some money, Mr. Duncan suggests that he take a pair of ceramic turtledoves from the store's Christmas tree as both a gift and a token of appreciation. He then instructs him to keep one and give the other to someone else, as a symbol of friendship and Kevin becomes fascinated about the turtledoves. Kevin leaves the store and runs into Harry and Marv while looking at his map for directions, who then chase him after the bandits spot Kevin and decide to get their revenge. During the chase, Kevin manages to lose the bandits by making them slip on necklace beads.

Existing within Rockefeller Center in Midtown , this juggernaut of Home Alone New York locations has housed performances of many musicians and comedians alike. Sadly, Grealish did not appear to meet any pigeon ladies during his visit but all in all, it was an admirable effort on a trip he thankfully did not forget to bring us all on. There are an infinite number of things to do and see when visiting New York City, but credit Jack Grealish for really getting down to the good stuff. Duncan's Toy Chest isn't real, but it was likely inspired by a famous NYC store. The Plaza capitalized on the hotel being featured in the movie by creating a special package for fans, which is still available 30 years later.

As Kevin wishes for his mother to return, Kate's intuition proves correct, as she then observes Kevin in front of the Rockefeller Center's Christmas tree. The two embrace and apologize to each other before heading back to the Plaza as Kate explains that, like Kevin, the family didn't like the palm trees in Florida either. Using his father's address book, Kevin tracks down the home of his Uncle Rob and Aunt Georgette, only to find it vacant and undergoing renovations, wherein he realizes Rob and Georgette are still abroad in Paris. The staff offers the family a complimentary suite as a token of apology while Kate decides to go out and look for Kevin, despite the protests of Peter and Mr. Hector, the latter of whom Kate slaps for allowing Kevin to escape. He advises her, "Do bundle up. It's awfully cold outside.", which she takes seriously.

In this brief scene, we see Kevin leaving from Quong Yuen Shing with firecrackers—which are sure to go off before the film’s conclusion. You’ll feel like you’re in a movie yourself when skating at this famous rink. It’s at this Home Alone 2 film location where Marv is trying to to skate, while Harry is reading the newspaper.

Spanning the width of the East River, the Queensboro Bridge connects Queens and Manhattan - specifically the Upper East Side. Completed in 1909, the Queensboro Bridge is one of four iconic New York bridges - the others being Williamsburg, Manhattan, and Brooklyn. Kevin is a tourist in the city , and like all tourists, he visits many of the city's most iconic landmarks. This package needs to be booked at least 3 days prior to check-in, and is subject to availability of rooms at time of booking. Offer valid for new bookings only, is not applicable to group bookings and cannot be combined with other offers. On Christmas morning, a truckload of free gifts arrives at the McCallisters' hotel room, sent from a grateful Mr. Duncan for foiling the robbery.

Kevin passes Empire Diner, which has been featured in other movies.

But the scene cuts to Kevin making a right turn down the hallway and still ending up in the lobby. During the flight itself, the flight attendant welcomes them aboard flight 176, but the radar image still refers to it as 226. When Kevin pauses in the airport to grab batteries from his father's bag, there's an announcement in the background that flight 226 to New York is currently boarding. Kevin, and the audience, are left without an explanation of what the man says.

When the camera switches back to the counter, the only things on there are the map and Swiss army knife. When Kevin requested to make a donation to the toy store, the money envelope was back in his hand. In-between, however, there is a close-up of Mr. Duncan handling the money to put in the cash register. It is impossible for Kevin to take back the envelope of money off the counter. When Kevin goes to the front desk to check in, the desk clerk takes Peter's credit card. By regular standards, the clerk should have asked for some form of I.D., or in this case, given the fact Kevin is a minor, she should've called the police instead.

The PLAZA

Taking the opportunity to settle their score with Kevin, they bring him to a secluded part of Central Park and plan to shoot him after going too far with his pranks. Just in time, the Pigeon Lady intervenes, and Harry tries to shoot her instead, but his gun turns out to be jammed from the varnish that fell on them earlier. She pelts the bandits with a bucket full of birdseed, prompting pigeons to swoop down on them and swarm them. Kevin flees and sets off fireworks that he bought earlier to signal the police, who arrest the bandits and discover Kevin's photographs and tape recording to use as evidence against them. Harry then runs out the window and steps on one end of the seesaw, but before he can warn Marv not to jump on the other end, Marv does exactly that, sending Harry flying into the air and causing him to painfully land on the roof of a parked car nearby. The duo chase Kevin to Uncle Rob's house wherein they ask him to just throw down his camera and they promise not to hurt him.

In Home Alone 2, Kevin visits the massive tree to ask for his family back and is warmly rewarded when his mother arrives, having known that Kevin has a fondness for Christmas trees. Kevin doesn't really visit the Queensboro Bridge so much as drives across it in a taxi. However, he leans out the window of the taxi and gazes at the bridge in wonder, as it serves as his gorgeous entry into the city proper.
