Busload of migrants dropped off at Kamala Harris' DC home

Appearances may be deceiving, as the historic home is actually four connected townhouses — two are on Pennsylvania Avenue, and two face Lafayette Park on Jackson Place. At 60,600 square feet in total, Blair House is actually larger than the White House. For now, the couple is staying at Blair House, which sits across from the White House. Vice President Kamala Harris’s husband is former lawyer-turned-second-gentleman Doug Emhoff.

She is also the second person of color to hold the post, preceded by Charles Curtis, a Native American and member of the Kaw Nation, who served under Herbert Hoover from 1929 to 1933. She is the third person with acknowledged non-European ancestry to reach one of the highest offices in the executive branch, after Curtis and former president Barack Obama. In 2004, when she became San Francisco's first Black attorney general, Harris bought a condo in town for $489,000. The 1,000-square-foot loft is located in the city's SoMa neighborhood, home to SF MoMA and the headquarters of several tech companies, including Uber, Airbnb, and Salesforce. In 2017, the year she was elected to the Senate, Harris paid $1.775 million for a two-bedroom, 1,700-square-foot apartment in the nation's capital.

In 2011, Harris obtained a guilty plea and a four-year prison sentence from a stalker who used Facebook and social engineering techniques to illegally access the private photographs of women whose social media accounts he hijacked. Later that year, Harris created the eCrime Unit within the California Department of Justice, a 20-attorney unit targeting technology crimes. In 2015, several purveyors of so-called revenge porn sites based in California were arrested, charged with felonies, and sentenced to lengthy prison terms. In the first prosecution of its kind in the United States, Kevin Bollaert was convicted on 21 counts of identity theft and six counts of extortion and sentenced to 18 years in prison.

Prior to and during her presidential campaign an online informal organization using the hashtag #KHive formed to support her candidacy and defend her from racist and sexist attacks. According to the Daily Dot, Joy Reid first used the term in an August 2017 tweet saying "@DrJasonJohnson @ZerlinaMaxwell and I had a meeting and decided it's called the K-Hive."

Kamala Harris will become the first woman to move to the Number One Observatory Circle in Washington as vice president of the United States today, but while her new home is surely an impressive one, her private properties are just as stunning. Along with her husband, attorney Douglas Emhoff, she owns properties in Brentwood, San Francisco and Washington D.C., totalling $8million as per Zillow. Harris resigned her Senate seat on January 18, 2021, two days before her swearing-in as vice president.

That is what happens when you take a fake and make him feel like he can do anything. The truth is the Republicans let him do pretty much anything he wanted to do including but not limited to trampling all over the US Constitution, taking America from a revered country to a laughing stock, and committing so many criminal acts that we could not keep up with it all. Sadly, he will not likely have to pay for his crimes and that is why it will take a very long time for America to be great again for real. ​Kamala Harris is the first female, first black, and first Asian Vice President in United States history.
