Am a huge animal lover but dogs I love the most. The Disney movie "Incredible Journey" was made a long time ago and this may have some similarities. But the story, filming, and constant adventure are all modern and will keep your interest. There is seldom time for a rest because the story is fast paced - you will not get bored. I went with children ages 4, 10, and 12, and all thoroughly enjoyed the movie.
Bruce Cameron, director Charles Martin Smith and the extraordinary cast and crew as they discuss their journey to bring Bella’s heartwarming tale to the big screen. This film really plays on all strings of human emotions, and my wife had a flashflood of tears when watching, making me laugh as usual.... Yes, this is the same story told again (Homeward Bound and it's various sequels), however it's a little different.

Everything was wonderful in the movie but having read the book I noticed many things changed or missing from the movie that was in the book. There was no mention of Sylvia, the near drowning incident, Chloe and her cats , Gavin and Taylor's trip to China or Axel's real cause of death. Just thought I'd point these out though still the movie was great.
Many touching moments of interactions with other animals amidst beautiful scenery and with a politically correct diverse set of humans from PTSD vets to homeless man. With effects today they really did a great job with the animals. I took my younger half-sister, she enjoyed herself, I heard both adults and kids laughing, yes there's some serious scenes but it's also that lesson in life about bullies and how people overcome them.

A self-proclaimed “brand loyalist”, Keri Lyn is known for her strong and enthusiastic voice when it comes to the products and brands that she loves. My 4.5 yo daughter wanted to watch this since we just got a puppy. My sensitive 8 yo son cried throughout, and we all thought the situations the main character, a rescued dog named Bella, went through, we’re horrible. We pushed through to show them that everything ended up ok, but it was tough.

I love all dogs and have rescued 2 labs, a chocolate and fox red lab mix. The chocolate was a therapy dog in a local nursing home.. The fox red would have been a great therapy dog but I had to give it up due to health and stroke issues.
It got too convenient with the reunion in the wolf attack. Sometimes, a character left behind is better off being left behind. The cougar does not need to make a return appearance. I would have preferred Bella to make the escape herself.
Get endless entertainment, live sports, and the shows and movies you love. So if you can be adult enough to overlook the agendas and stereotypes and enjoy a nicely paced family movie reminiscent of 'Homeward Bound' without the sassiness, do so. Take the kids or grandkids and you'll come away from the movie the way movies like this are expected to leave you - happy, wiping away a few happy tears, and all the loose ends tied up in a bow. Lucas Ray and his friend Olivia, two residents of Denver, Colorado, find a puppy in a construction site along with many kittens and a mother cat. He names the dog Bella and takes her home to live with him and his mother, Terri Ray. Over the years, Lucas plays with and takes care of Bella. However, Lucas also continues to feed the cats at the old house, putting himself in the crosshairs of Günter Beckenbauer, the man who intends to demolish the house. He even calls the city about the cats who live there, which delays the demolition.
